The Sleeping Dragon

The ancient creature opened it's eye–was it a "HE" or a "SHE"?–and,  in the lazy, misty morning, it's pupil sparkled with a wicked, unwholesome glitter. A clap of thunder could be heard in the distance, that made trees shiver, and every little animal ran into it's burrow: the seal of time had been broken and the secret revealed; the veil drawn back.

–I'm proud of you–the creature said, and the little man, greatly pleased, smiled.
–What shall I do now? I have no intimation of what's about to happen.
–Would you like to take a glimpse into time? I've just come to show you it all.
